September 1, 2024.
The summer official visits have been completed. Miami’s 2025 recruiting class now holds 21 verbal commitments, ranking the #12 in the nation. The class is forming nicely for a big run to the finish line this fall.
It’s time to begin our monthly Mock Class series. The CaneReports will publish monthly mock class projections all the way to December. While there may be changes along the way, we feel our mock classes will give a very good glimpse of what the class will looking like on early signing day in December.

BOTTOM LINE:
Our projected mock class would have 26 new recruits with a class score of 289.72. In 2024, this score would have ranked #5. In 2023, this score would have ranked #5. In 2022, this score would have ranked #5. In 2021, this score would have ranked #6.
It’s unlikely Miami signs all of the above mock class. However, it gives us a clear picture of the ceiling for the class.
It will be exciting to watch the Canes’ run for a third consecutive Top Ten finish. It likely depends on Miami’s field performance in 2024.
GO CANES!
