Canes Charge Back Again, 53-31


It’s was a great day to be a Miami Hurricanes!


After Miami jumped out to a 14-0 lead early, Duke roared back to take 21-17 at halftime. The Blue Devils came out of the locker room at the break to extend their lead to 28-17. Then Cam Ward got HOT in the middle of the third quarter. Miami out scored Duke, 36-3, the rest of the game.


Cam Ward and Xavier Restrepo led the comeback. Ward completed 25-41 passes for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns. Restrepo caught 8 passes for 146 yards (18.3 YPC) and three touchdowns.


Restrepo tied Mike Harley's Miami career reception record with his 182nd pass reception and broke Santana Moss' career receiving yards record with 2,573 yards.


Miami (9-0, 5-0 ACC) travels to Atlanta next Saturday to take on Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Kickoff and TV/Radio coverage to be announced.
