Recruiting never stops at Miami under head coach Mario Cristobal.
After getting off to a blazing start, going undefeated at 6-0 and ranked #6 in the nation, the team had a bye week.
That didn’t stop coach Cristobal and his staff from traveling all over the country to get eyeballs on current commits and potential prospects. The staff attended games of almost thirty (30) prospects in the 2025, 2026 and even 2027 recruiting classes.
On Monday. coach Cristobal met with the press and shared his thoughts on the program’s progress with talent acquisition, a top priority for the staff.
"Oh, there's buzz in some of the unfamiliar places, but the places that we've always gone to, they're consistent," said Cristobal. "We were consistent from the day we arrived, with our messaging, with our goals. And I think we've been accepted, we've been welcomed because we've done that and because we've done well by the guys that we've brought into our program. We hold ourselves to our word, and we hold players to their word as well. So certainly, early progress and success has led to some opportunities that maybe haven't been around in a couple of weeks, and we expect more opportunities to come down the line. But you know, we love being on the road, whether it be local or whether it be across the country, and we expect to sign another great recruiting class.”
The Canes (6-0, 2-0 ACC) hit the road again this week to take on the Louisville Cardinals (4-2, 2-1 ACC) on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. EST. TV coverage will be on ABC-TV with radio coverage on WQAM-560
