Miami head coach Mario Cristobal appeared on “The Joe Rose Show” on 560 WQAM on Monday morning. He shared his thoughts on the Canes as they make final preparations for the opening game against Florida on Saturday in Gainesville.
On the roster for the opening game…
“We feel pretty settled on guys who re going to play and on who’s going to start.”
On the health of Mark Fletcher…
“Mark Fletcher is all the way back and ready to play.
On FSU loss to Georgia Tech this past Saturday…
“Our entire focus is on getting our team ready… All of our focus is on the University of Florida.”
On the assimilation of the transfer players…
“Part of the recruiting process is finding guys who have played in similar systems.”
On the defensive backfield…
“I hope the media keeps writing negative stuff and get our guys juiced up.”
On the team’s depth and rotations…
“Playing time is something that is earned…we are going to see a lot of Hurricanes playing this year.”
Will freshmen play…
“The guys who are ready to go, we’re going to play them. If you can get it done, if you can help us win, you are going to play!”
On playing the rival Gators…
