The Miami Hurricanes traveled to Gainesville this past Saturday to tale on a good Florida team in a hostile environment of 90,000+ spectators on a hot and humid day in the Swamp. The Canes turned in a dominant performance, thrashing the Gators 41-17.
During the course of the game, Miami endured three injuries. Head coach Mario Cristobal gave an update on those injuries.
Rueben Bain:
On the third play of the game, DE Rueben Bain, an All-American Freshman in 2023, was knocked out of the game with a soft tissue injury. Miami’s depth at the position allows the Canes to rest Rueben this week. He has been declared out of the game against Florid A& M.
Damari Brown:
Miami also lost starting DB Damari Brown in the first half on Saturday. Once again, the Canes depth came into play with strong performances from the bench. Damari’s injury is not expected to affect his availability for this week’s game.
Ryan Rodriguez:
Ryan suffered a sprained his ankle in the second half but is expected to be available for this week’s game.
Other than the above injuries, the Canes came away in good shape. CaneReports will monitor the situation and report on any new development or changes in status,
GO CANES!
