Miami (6-0, 2-0 ACC) moved up in the AP Poll on Sunday after a thrilling come from behind victory over California (3-2, 0-2 ACC) late Saturday night in Berkeley.
The Canes are now ranked #6, up from #8 last week. In a massive weekend of upsets, Texas is now #1, followed by Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia and Penn State to round out the top five positions. After being upset by Vanderbilt, Alabama fell to #7 behind Miami. Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Clemson finish the top ten.
The ACC has four teams in the top 25, including Miami (#6), Clemson (#10), Pittsburgh (#22) and SMU (#25).
Miami will have a bye this week before traveling to Louisville on Saturday, October 19. Kickoff and network coverage to be determined shortly.
