MOCK ’26: 1.0

January, 2025

Welcome to the insane exercise of projecting Miami’s 2026 recruiting class. The CaneReports will project a monthly roster of who we feel Miami could land in their recruiting class. We’ll try to publish during the first week of each month.

We admit our first monthly endeavor is based on very few data points. So take it with somewhat of a grain of salt this early.

Our algorithm this month is primarily based on media hits, visits, distance and prospect early leanings (favorites). As we go forward such factors as roster needs, top tier prospect public declarations, more visits, source reports and media projections will come into greater play. But for now, let’s take our first swing.

Quarterback:

Dereon Coleman (committed)

Running Back:

Derrek Cooper

Javian Mallory

Wide Receiver:

Calvin Russell

Jabari Brady

Daniel Odom

Tight End:

Brock Harris

Kaiden Prothro

Offensive Tackle:

Keenyi Pepe

Micah Smith

Jackson Cantwell

Interior Offensive Line:

Grant Wise

Canon Pickett

Ryan Miret

Edge Rusher:

McHale Blade

Jake Kreul

Defensive Tackle:

G'nivre Carr

Emanuel Tucker

Defensive End (SDE):

Deuce Geralds

Kendall Guervil

Linebacker:

Jordan Campbell (committed)

Malik Morris

Adam Balogoun-Ali

Cornerback:

Justice Fitzpatrick

Davon Benjamin

Camdin Portis (committed)

Safety:

Simeon Caldwell

BOTTOM LINE:

We are projecting a slightly larger class than in 2025. We currently project a class of 27 recruits. Miami’s 2025 class of 21 recruits ranked #14 in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.

This class would currently score 320.35. In 2025, this class would have ranked #1, #1 in 2024, #2 in 2023 and #3 in 2022. While very encouraging, don’t get too excited. It’s way too early for that now. However, the bar is set…very high.

Our 2026 mock class will change over the course of the next twelve months. Check back in early February for the latest projection of MOCK ’26.
