The Canes received good news on Monday. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal announced on The Joe Rose Show on 560 WQAM that veteran left tackle Jalen Rivers will play this week against Louisville.
"He will be a full go this week and he will play on Saturday,” said Cristobal.
Rivers has not played since the season opener against Florida. In that game, Rivers allowed two pressures and no sacks, according to Pro Football Focus.
For his career, Rivers has played 1,768 offensive snaps at the college level and is the Canes’ leader on the offensive line.
The Canes own the all-time series against the Cardinals with an 11-4-1 record. Miami (6-0, 2-0 ACC) is a four-point favorite over Louisville (4-2,2-1 ACC).
Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. EST. Coverage will be on ABC-TV with radio on WQAM-560.
