PAC-12 expands!

The PAC-12 conference announced on Thursday a conference expansion in the 2026-27 academic year that will include Boise State, Colorado State, San Diego State and Fresno State from the Mountain West Conference.

The membership of the new PAC12 will include Washington State, Oregon State, Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State, and Fresno State.

To maintain their status as a power four conference, the PAC12 must meet the NCAA minimum requirement of eight schools within two years of departures. The conference directors, including the four new schools, will begin discussions on which schools to consider for further expansion.

There have been reports the PAC-12 will consider UNLV, Air Force, San Jose State and New Mexico.

The world of college athletics continues to realign. More to come, we are sure.
