Tis the Season… Wide Receiver

December 13, 2024

College football has changed the game. The Transfer Portal giveth and taketh.

During this festive season, we sometimes have to say goodbye. But we get to also say hello.

This ongoing series will attempt to keep you up-to-date with the comings and goings in our Hurricanes family. Yes, it may be sad to say goodbye to our friends. But at the same time, we get to meet new friends and welcome new family members.

So, here we go. We’ll update any new developments as they happen.

Wide Receiver:

Our Canes’ family is saying goodbye to Xavier Restrepo, Jacolby George, Sam Brown and Robby Washington. We wish them nothing but success as they begin new chapters in their life.

Returning: Isaiah Horton, Ray Ray Joseph, Ny Carr, Joshisa Trader, Chance Robinson and Shemar Kirk.

New Recruits: Joining the above will be true freshmen Joshua Moore, Malachi Toney and Daylyn Upshaw.

Miami’s wide receiver room is very talented but very young and inexperienced. From all reports, the coaching staff is looking for experienced and proven college receivers to provide more experience, competition, leadership and depth at the position.

Players of Interest: Eric Singleton Jr. (George Tech), CJ Daniels (LSU), KC Concepcion (NC State), Eric Rivers (FIU), Reggie Virgil (Miami - OH)

BOTTOM LINE:

Miami has very promising young wide receivers but needs a veteran presence and increased depth in the room. Look for the Canes to sign one, maybe two college veterans.

In the coming weeks and months, other college receivers may emerge. The CaneReports will update this list of transfer targets.

GO CANES!
