The 2025 recruiting cycle is just about in the books. It’s time to move on to the 2026 class. CaneReports will give you the latest top targets for Miami by position group.
At this time, the Hurricanes have three non-binding verbal commitments from 2026 recruiting prospects, with no safety commitment.
In this edition, we look at the potential SAFETIES on Miami’s recruiting board.
Who are the Canes’ top safeties targets at this time?
SAFETY:
OVERVIEW: HIGH PRIORITY
Miami returns four safeties (Zaquan Patterson, Markeith Williams, Jadais Richard, Isaiah Taylor) in 2025 with two true freshmen (Bryce Fitzgerald, Amari Wallace) and one transfer (Zechariah Poyser) joining them. Only one will exhaust his eligibility after 2025. The staff prefers to carry 6-8 safeties on the roster. Look for Miami to continue to stack talent at this position of need.
