Miami edge rusher Tyler Baron was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week, announced on Monday afternoon.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound redshirt senior finished with five tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and three key sacks against Florida A&M last Saturday. Baron was a key part the Miami defense that limited Florida A&M to just 194 yards of total offense, including only 52 rushing yards.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native is the fourth Cane to garner weekly conference honors this season, alongside offensive lineman Zach Carpenter, defensive back Jaden Harris and quarterback Cam Ward.
