Damione Lewis, a former Hurricane, is expected to work with defensive tackles.
Coach Lewis brings a ton of defensive line coaching experience with him. A 10-year NFL veteran, he was drafted in the first round in 2001 by the St. Louis Rams. He played for the Rams, Carolina Panthers, and Houston Texans in 141 NFL games.

Lewis then spent four seasons as the defensive line/defensive tackles coach with the Seattle Seahawks. In his lone season with Colorado, he helped the Buffaloes make significant progress on defense. He improved their sacks and tackles for loss in 2024, going from 27 sacks to 34 sacks and from 65 TFL to 79 TFL, both #1 in the Big-12.
Lewis will work under defensive line coach Jason Taylor.
