Miami announced on Friday the hiring of Andrew Moran as an assistant coach and director of player development on head coach Jai Lucas’ staff.

Moran comes to Miami from Columbus High School in Miami where he won four state championships and the 2025 Chipotle Nationals over the last six years. He brings a 145-34 overall record as a head coach at the high school level in south Florida. Moran also brings a wealth of knowledge of the Florida high school recruiting market, having launched Miami Hoops School and area clinics.
"I am thrilled to welcome Andrew to my staff at the University of Miami," said Lucas in a statement.
"When building my staff, I wanted to prioritize hiring coaches with a proven track record of success. Andrew has consistently achieved winning at every level of his coaching career, spanning from high school to grassroots. His exceptional ability to teach the game and background in skill development make him a valuable asset to our program.”
Coach Moran is the second assistant coach on Lucas’ staff, joining former Georgia assistant Erik Pastrana.
