Miami welcomed its second transfer on Wednesday morning after receiving a commitment by safety Zechariah Poyser on Tuesday evening. Former LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels committed to the Canes this morning.
At 6’2”/205, CJ brings play making ability, size and veteran experience to Coral Gables. He chose Miami over Ole Miss and Auburn, among others.
A sixth-year senior, CJ has caught 148 passes for 2,439 yards and 21 touchdowns over his college career at Liberty & LSU. In 2024, he caught 42 passes for 480 yards for the Tigers. CJ is rated 90 and the #16 wide receiver in the transfer portal.
Miami is looking to get bigger at the wide receiver position, especially as Isaiah Horton contemplates entering the portal.
Welcome to the U, CJ! Welcome to the family!
GO CANES!
