Miami opened their 2024 football season with a convincing 41-17 victory over Florida in the Swamp last Saturday in front of 90,000+ fans. The Canes return home this Saturday evening for their home opener.
Will Miami fans turnout in support of their team?
Hard Rock Stadium has a seating capacity of 64,767. The Hurricanes’ average attendance is between 54-55,000 fans per game.
While, Miami is playing FCS Florida A&M this week, can the Canes pull at least 50,000 fans to the Rock to cheer on their #12 ranked team?
Miami is a small school but more than 6 million residents of south Florida live within one hour of the stadium.
It would be hard to justify playing in a 64K+ stadium if the community won’t support an undefeated (1-0) and 12th ranked team in the nation.
PACK THE ROCK!
GO CANES!
